Is Go Soccer Gear really free?
Yes. There's no cost to list gear, no cost to request it, and no commission taken from anyone. It's built to run like a nonprofit - no one profits from it.
How do I list gear my kid outgrew?
Go to List Your Gear, add a few photos, the brand, size, and condition. It takes less than five minutes. Submitted listings are reviewed with a quick once-over and typically go live within a day.
Why does my listing need to be reviewed before it goes live?
A quick manual review helps keep listings accurate and keeps out spam or inappropriate content. Most listings are approved within a day. If a listing is rejected, you'll see the reason and can resubmit.
How do I find gear for my kid?
Use Browse Gear to filter by category, brand, size, gender, and condition. If you add your zip code, you can also filter by distance to find gear near you.
How does the actual hand-off work?
Once a request is accepted, you and the other family coordinate directly - local shipping, a porch drop-off, or a meetup at practice, whatever's easiest for both of you. See our safety tips for guidance on meeting up safely.
Do I need an account?
Yes - creating a free account lets you list gear, request gear, message about exchanges, and build a review history other families can see.
What if the gear isn't as described?
Exchanges are between families, so take a moment to review photos and condition notes before requesting, and ask questions if anything's unclear. If something feels off after the fact, please leave an honest review and let us know through Report a listing so we can look into it.
Is this an official AYSO program?
No. Go Soccer Gear was built independently by a longtime AYSO volunteer and is designed with AYSO families in mind, but it isn't owned, run, or officially endorsed by AYSO National. Read more on our AYSO relationship page.
